    Description

    A deciduous tree (Acer palmatum) or shrub with a broad, rounded shape. The deeply cut leaves have 5-9 toothed lobes and are mid-green turning orange to yellow or red in autumn.

    Plant Care

    Plant in slightly acidic, well-draining soil in sheltered areas with only morning sun, preferably. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be cut back once established. Mulch will help keep the roots cool and avoid excessive leaf burning. Give it a slow-release fertilizer in the Spring.
