Hass Avocados Trees prefer to be planted in well-draining soil in a site that is protected from wind and frost. Make sure to plant the Hass Avocado Tree in full sun. Water the avocados regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system. Frequency should be cut back once the roots are established. Fertilize in the early spring before the flowers emerge and remove dead wood and prune to maintain the desired size. In late Spring, thin out the crop to prevent early fruit drop and overbearing. Indoor avocados will do very well with a daily water spray.
